In 2012 I suffered a cataclysmic heartbreak and my life did a complete 180 turn. I had no choice but to start all over, I had no career, no money and nowhere to live.
But, as an eternal optimist I had hopes and dreams that this was all for some higher purpose and that life would work out for me, and it did!
I found my survival instinct, my Tigress and got to work. I licked my wounds, found a job I loved, learned to love myself and healed. Heartbreak was the start of my beautiful new beginning, I didn’t just survive, I thrived.
In working through the pain of loss, I found myself. I faced my fears, discovered my strengths and built a life of happiness and contentment I never thought was possible. I’m proof that it’s possible to overcome any challenge, loss and even your sense of self.
Being broken down gives you the opportunity to re-build a supercharged version of yourself. Stronger, resilient, tenacious and driven. If I can do it, so can you and I’m going to show you how…
Why Coaching?
There were many challenges I had to overcome on the path of healing, one of the things I found most difficult was that no-one understood what I was going through. No one in my social circle or close family had been through something so cataclysmic, whilst they were sympathetic, they couldn’t relate to what I was going through. That’s why Zen Tigress was born, to help people heal faster through sharing their experiences of heartbreak and moving forward in reaching their goals.
Why Zen?
I’ve always been interested in and have practised spirituality and it is this practise that has seen me through the most difficult and challenging of times.
Zen is the practice of connecting to our self in the moment, coming back to the simplicity of our true nature. Zen is about accepting our life as it is now, with all of its vividness, beauty, hardship, joy and sorrow. Zen is a path of awakening to our higher selves: awakening to who we really are, and the opportunities open to us as soon as we choose to expand and grow and move forward in life.
Why Tigress?
The Tiger represents our survival instinct, and I found an affinity with this metaphor for willpower, personal strength and courage. The Tiger has an extreme focus, energy and patience with the ability to look inwards, reflect and take action. Zen Tigress is an empowering lifestyle philosophy designed to help you navigate life with grace, beauty and gentle ferocity.
Coaching Experience & Qualifications
I am passionate about coaching and personal development and have studied and hold an ILM (The Institute of Leadership & Management) Coaching and Mentoring qualification. This has provided me with the professional skills and techniques to coach you through your challenges and attain your goals. I’ve also been a member of the University of Birmingham Coaching Academy as an Organisational Coach as part of my professional day job as well as through Zen Tigress.
